Week 3 Original Post #3

I thought Peter Pan was very well done. It was much better than I would have thought it to be and I think the fly system was very appropriate and looked good. Some of the actors I would have replaced but overall it was a good show. I would replace Peter for a different (younger) actor if I was the director, but the actor who played did do a very good job. I thiink the lighting on the show was nice and so was the sound. I think it was not as good as STOMP but it was very good overall.

  1. Austin I have to say you are much nicer than me. The guy that played Peter is a good actor, but completly wrong for the part. He could have been "Peter Pan: All Grown Up" not the normal Peter Pan who is supposed to be played by a relatively young person. To me, it didn't even compare to STOMP. I thought the lighting was pretty good too. All the colors and patterns were cool. Except for tink. Tink, once again, looked like an upside down dinosaur. And she is (idealy) supposed to be a glowing yellow light. Not green. Over all it was okay.

  2. I really wish I could have seen it! Everyone's blog i've read has said how good it was. I'm really excited for Rent though. Its gonna be really interesting to see everyone's reactions to all the controversial topics in the play.

  3. I think you are one of the few that seemed to like Peter Pan. Something to keep in mind when learning to appreciate theatre is that you should always be able to walk away with something positive from a performance. I like the way you are able to view the positive over the elements you didn't enjoy as much. Nice job!
