Week Two Original post #3

I absoulutly loved STOMP I thought it was an amazing show. I thought it was very creative as far as using household devices to make awesome beats and rythems. The only thing that I think can be changed is that it should have somewhat of a story and should have an intermission. Meeting the performers was very interesting becaause they live really normal lives and do almost the same stuff as us daily.I think I can apply to Mulan that you do not have to have lines to have character and that somebody can be funny without saying a single word.

  1. I agree with you too austin. I thought the show was amazing. I agree that the show would have been better if it had some type of plot but the show itself was so great that I don't really think it needed one. And yes I think it should have had an intermission too. It was kind of a long time to sit there without getting to move and watching them move everywhere made me want to get up and move too. Meeting the performers was neat and I agree that it was cool to see how normal they really were. With Mulan I think that is true too. Like Mrs. Tracey said, smaller parts can steal the show and with a funny character like yours, I think that you could really do that.

  2. I never really thought about having a story behind Stomp. That would a really good idea. But I agree with you, it was awesome. It was amazing how they could just make music like that on their own with items you wouldnt originally think about using. I know it would take me forever to learn the dances if you will.

  4. It just goes to show you that you can act in a variety of forms - but it is still acting. :)
